Say Hello to Hello Kitty Android™ Tablet at CES 2012

Hello_Kitty_Android_Tablet_for_kidsThe Japanese cutesy cartoon character is the apple of my daughter’s eye. Yes, I am talking about blush pink, ribbon clad cute cat we know by the name of Hello Kitty. The kitty has made its presence felt everywhere in her gadgets starting from her laptop (Epson Hello Kitty laptop), mobile phone (OKWAP A236 Hello Kitty mobile phone then BenQ Siemens AL26 mobile phone), digital camera (Tink Pink Hello Kitty Digicam DC571), MP3 player (Hello Kitty MP3 player), karaoke (Hello Kitty Karaoke System), Hello Kitty keyboards to USB speakers (Hello Kitty USB speakers) and even Hello Kitty air purifier. And here is this Android powered Hello Kitty tablet for kids that would surely catch her fancy!

The tablet instantly amazed me at the 2012 International CES and I was wishing if I could just adorn it with a bright pink ribbon and give it to my daughter, right away! A mother of a daughter who adores every sight and substance of Hello Kitty would relate to my impulse for this small Hello Kitty tablet soaked in bright pink color. I think I must thank Sakar to listen to mothers’ wishes (and kids’ desires) as they always had by showcasing kids’ focused gadgets.

Utility blends in fancy

Sakar has been a well known name for its offering of great range of kids focused gadgets. The range of gadgets are galore that include USB devices, Karaoke, MP3 player, digital camera, digital photo frame, SMS text messenger, handheld game devices, sound kit including speaker system, multimedia headset and headphones and many more. Since cartoon characters, Disney theme, flowers etc. being prominent stars in the kids’ galaxy of imaginations, rule the designs of kids focused gadgets of Sakar. This time, Sakar made no exception and has launched Hello Kitty themed Android based tablets at the 2012 International CES. Well, not only Hello Kitty, Sakar has also incorporated other brand names such as Disney and Nickelodeon.

Cute and Functional Tablet… an iPad Alternative for Kids

The Hello Kitty tablet will cost no more than US$200 when it will hit shelf in coming fall. What was shocking was that the cute little device boasts off specifications of a high-end tablet under its Hello Kitty themed hood. I was impressed to find the demo Hello Kitty on display had

  • 7” capacitive display
  • 800 x 480 resolution display
  • Two mini USB ports
  • A microSD slot
  • A mini HDMI port
  • Wi-Fi
  • One front camera that I figured could be 1.3MP from the quality of image
  • Home, Menu and Back buttons
  • Single core processor with 512 MB RAM

Have I mentioned you the Hello Kitty would impress your daughter for its access to Android Market too? So, would not you feel the impulse of buying this Hello Kitty Android tablet (an inexpensive kids focused iPad alternative) from shelves of ToysRU?

Hello Kitty is one of those Japanese icons that transends national boundaries. But the fact that becoming the face of a certain android tablet is amazing on its own.
