Not just Google gals, Google moms too get an edge with better control over their lives, over other moms. That is what a friend of mine who acts like a super woman with three kids, one catering business, a huge clientele, and an active social life claim. We met over a coffee last week to catch up and share tidbits of our lives. And I was astonished seeing her quite at ease in distributing her contribution in all spectrums of her life, from kids to chores, from choosy clients to chaotic weddings, from spouse to her kitties. On asking her, she plainly confessed that the credit goes to the awesomeness of Google that helps her keep on toes and keep connected to diverse segments of her life. And these are the tools that she keeps abreast to stay connected and does wonder in communications.
Let’s start with communications

“When it’s comes to communications I’d rather believe in showing my real emotions than emo-icons”. She continues saying “and that’s why video chat is one up over textual chats or voice chats.” So she opts for video chat through Gmail. “I come clean and show my feelings whether it’s condolences to friends over deceased relatives, concerns to my kins, commitment of trust toward my clients, constant care for my spouse and kids”.
Make communications fun & creative

She also encourages creativity in her kids to upload videos, then crop and cultivate the content to create holiday and seasonal video cards for more vivid communications. I took a look at some android apps that she uses from time to time to create video cards (Valentine Video Greets), 3D cards (Cardz Creator app) and some animated e-greeting cards from her Android Smartphone. I must say, she touts to be a smart momma and entrepreneur making utmost use of Google.
Apart from communications, she resorts to Google products for organizing and balancing her business and personal life, her vacations and patrons, work and entertainment. Like she keeps her kids entertained with kid focused YouTube channels, read them classics and bedtime stories for free from Google eBooks, use Google Maps and Document to plan trip, enlist proposed activities and dates. “Could I make my life more sane without my Google Calendar that takes care of all events, birthdays, playdates, parents’ meet, anniversaries, clients’ meet, site visit etc., and most important of all, reminds me with alerts?” similarly, she swears by Picasa for photo sharing, fostering her love for photography and her “fondness for happy faces”.
When I left her, I was inspired to make the most of Google tools in my life and share the secret of well-paced a yummy Google mom with my readers.
The lot of Google products we have to admit have not been maximized by the users. I guess you are doing it right.
