Procedure to Attach file(s) to e-mail message
First, log into your e-mail account. Once you are signed in click on the ‘Compose mail’ option. A new window will open for you to write a new mail. Click on the icon that says ‘Attach a file’. In almost all the e-mail servers this icon shows a paperclip symbol. The moment you click this icon there will be a pop up on the screen for browsing the document. Browse the file that is meant for attachment, from the destination where it has been stored. As you find the file, click on it. The name, in which the file has been stored, automatically gets selected in the space provided beside ‘File name’. Then you need to click on the ‘Open’ option. This will start the process of attaching the file to your e-mail message. If you wish to attach another file, select the option that says ‘Attach another file’. This is most likely to be written below the already attached file. Depending on the speed of your Internet connection, it may or may not take time to successfully attach the file to your message. There will be some direction to confirm the successful attachment of the file.
After you are through with the attachment procedure, write the text of your e-mail, insert your recipient’s email address along with a suitable subject. Then, click on the ‘send’ option.
Once the message gets delivered to the recipient, you will get a notification saying ‘your mail has been sent successfully’ or such like expressions.
