Internet SecurityOnline security is very important and staying secure online is your own responsibility. There are innumerable hackers and unreliable fraud people for whom getting an access to and draining out your personal secrets, is too easy a task. Hence, your password, the only medium of your online identification should be very cautiously protected. If someone with evil intentions guesses your password, he can easily penetrate through your personal information and take the least possible time to destroy the details. To avoid such unwanted situations, staying secured online is absolutely essential. The following guidelines will assist you to protect your password from being misused.

    Guidelines to stay secure online

    Unique password
Your password should be unique in itself. Avoid using your name, phone number, birthday, the name of your street, or the name of your pet etc. These make obvious passwords and could be guessed easily.

    Character specification
Secondly, it is suggested to use the entire number of characters allowed by the website while setting up a password. The longer the password, the more difficult it is to figure out. If the site allows eight characters, make sure that you use all the eight characters. To remain on a safer side you can include both letters and numbers in your password to keep it more secure. If the site allows case-sensitive passwords, you can mix up both upper and lower case letters to add to its protection.

    Different passwords
Moreover, if you are enrolled in two different sites, do not use the same password for both. Individual sites should be registered with two separate passwords. Otherwise, someone trying to go the evil way will get hold of all the sites, where you have registered yourself, at one go.

    Random passwords
Most importantly, keep it random, so that it becomes hard for people to guess. However, random selected passwords may be equally difficult for you to remember. So make an ardent effort to memorize such passwords since these types are indeed safe. In case you are at a loss about how to go about such passwords, you may also refer to various software programs that can help you in procuring secure random pass
