Too much of a traffic in the add-on toolbar, might cause your browser to suddenly close down. If you have been facing a recurring of such a similar problem, you may just wish to get rid of your add-on toolbar. It might even happen that an add-on toolbar has become damaged, resulting in freezing up and slowing down of the browser thereby harassing the smooth Internet operation. Under such circumstances, it is suggested to disable and replace the existing add-on toolbar with an updated version. However, do keep in mind that whenever some add-on toolbars are disabled, display problems may occur while opening certain web pages.
Prevent Internet Explorer Add-on Toolbars
To start with, click on the ‘Start’ button, followed by ‘Internet Explorer’. Then, click on the ‘Tools’ button. Under the show list, click ‘Manage Add-ons’ and then ‘All add-ons’.
Next select and click on the toolbar add-on that you would like to prevent from working and then click ‘Disable’. Repeat this for every toolbar that you wish to disable. Once it is done, click ‘Close’.
Prevent Mozilla Firefox Add-On Toolbars
First, close your Mozilla Firefox browser and then click the ‘Start’ button. Go to ‘All Programs’ and then click on ‘Mozilla Firefox (Safe Mode)’.
Once the window opens, click on ‘Disable all add-ons’ which is followed by ‘Continue in Safe Mode’. These changes will be updated and will remain effective throughout your present browsing session.
However, if you wish to disable add-on toolbars for all browsing sessions, click on ‘Make Changes and Restart.’
