Grab Breaking News before It Smells Stale

Stale news is no less repellent than fungi bread, isn’t it? What’s the point if you get to read or know about certain breaking news when the news is already a day old. I being a news junkie know no better that how tempting is the fresh aroma of breaking news is.

If you too are a news junkie then nothing catches your attention faster than breaking news in all fields. Just like you always want to be abreast with what’s latest with Lady GaGa to Barack Obama, celebrity breakups and patch-ups, climatic turmoil to social upheaval, fall of an athlete to fall in stock market and lots more. To meet my craving for fresh news (the fresher, the better, isn’t it?), I have made following online channels my pet tech tools so that I can catch up the stream of latest news of diverse spectrums.

If you hate to toggle between numerous tabs and windows on your browser in search of news, following sources could be great alternatives-

Check out latest chirps on Twitter

There are several tools you can find on Twitter to keep a tab on freshest breaking news. I am following some breaking news special channels on Twitter such as @BreakingNews, @Reuters, @AP, and @BBCBreaking. I am also following @Mizwhiz, @Mashable, @Gizmodo to read latest happening in the technology.

Google Reader

The RSS is the food to gulp massive quantity of news. That’s why, I love Google Reader to add and organize galore sources for RSS feeds. Many among my acquaintances have left Google Reader to pick up latest news on Twitter. The reason why I didn’t abandon Google Reader yet is to be able to pick elaborate coverage of the news that Twitter is not capable of providing. Another reason why I love Google Reader is that I can access it from my iPad (and iPhone too) from the Reeder news reading app.

If you want it all, both social feeds and RSS feeds then, I would recommend you to get an iPhone app called Flipboard that tracks them all. It displays news from Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, and Instagram too. Get Read It Later to save and read later, LinkedIn Today to sort and pick industry based news.

These news reading tech tools give me a fresh start like my first sip of caffeine in the morning. If you would like to be served with fresh news every morning and always, then make use of these tools to get the flow of latest news coming on your way as soon as they are live.
