Checking Add-ons for Apple® Safari

safari add ons

The Internet browser, Apple Safari comes with a set of established add-ons that are already installed for the convenience of the users. However, while in course of usage you may come across certain applications that do not have the proper supporting add-ons. Hence, to make your browser well equipped and capable enough in terms of the smooth functioning of all the applications, you might need to install certain add-ons and plug-ins. Knowing what plug-ins are already installed on Apple Safari can help you determine what plug-ins you require.

Guidelines to check what add-ons are needed for Apple Safari

First, check the page to see what plug-ins and add-ons are required for the website, on the basis of your applications. For example, if you want to download a file in the PDF format, you will require Adobe Reader. Before performing an action, the website will state its requirements.

Click on the ‘Help’ tab in the menu bar at the top of the screen of your Apple Safari window. Select the ‘Installed Plug-Ins’ option. This will open a new separate screen with a list of installed plug-ins of Apple Safari in alphabetical order.
