PredictiveEdge introduced PPN to ensure safe Internet browsing for kids

Today, social networking websites are a rage among teens and the length of the friend’s-list marks the popularity quotient in their peer group. Teens and kids make friends and share their personal information with ‘Friends’ and ‘Followers’ without caring much getting their personal information mishandled. Hence, more often, they expose themselves to grave online threats including cyber bullying. Therefore, parents need trustworthy tools and resources to help them monitor their children’s overall online activities. The PPN is an effective measure devised by PredictiveEdge that parents can resort to, to alleviate their worries related to their kids’ online behavior.

What is Proactive Parenting Network (PPN)?

PredictiveEdge has introduced this social media program called Proactive Parenting Network (PPN), which aims at providing effective tools for parents to keep track of their kids’ online activities on social networking websites. Since kids frequent social networking websites like Facebook and Twitter more regularly, it is essential for parents to keep an eye on them and alert them on various security issues.

How does Proactive Parenting Network (PPN) work?

PPN or Proactive Parenting Network provides parents with relevant resources to keep their kids safe while they are online at social networking websites. It also renders a safe browsing environment for kids. Recently it has partnered with i-SAFE, an Internet Education Distributor, and the Mayo Clinic to update parents with resources regarding what their teens are facing on the World Wide Web.

PPN gathers all information from i-SAFE and distributes to kids in their classrooms and educates their parents through website. The purpose behind this safety measure is to allow parents to have an open conversation with their teens.

Proactive Parenting Network also uses an online monitoring service called insight, which alerts parents via natural language processors regarding various problems. Now, parents can look for inappropriate language or vulgarity contained in kids’ online communications through this natural language processor. Every measure of Proactive Parenting Network is devised in order to ensure the privacy of kids without the intervention of their parents.  Parents’ interference may annoy kids and make them secretive, which can in turn worsen the situation all the more.

Currently, the PPN network is focused on most popular social networking websites among teens i.e. Facebook but, soon it will be expanding its network for Twitter and other sites as well. Parents may switch to Proactive Parenting Network from their usual probing and unsolicited advising methods to ensure safe Internet browsing, social networking and also that kids have mastered online etiquettes.
