The strong bond between women and technology is getting all the more strengthened. At a recently held corporate event, Google’s VP of Commerce Stephanie Tilenius introduced to the world, all new open platforms for mobile payments; Google Wallet and Google Offers. At the function she announced that the field trials for both were shortly to begin and customers could expect to enjoy these shopping experiences this summer.
For starters, Google Wallet has been created using the NFC (near-field-communication) technology. It will allow smartphones with NFC chips to transact data to special NFC readers at retail stores at close range. With these electronic wallets, consumers will be able to take delight in a shopping experience free of cash and credit card hassles. Currently, Citi, MasterCard, FirstData and Spirnt have joined this venture as partners. Google Wallet completely takes care of security issues. It has a phone lock, a Google pin, credit card information encryption, and measures not to completely display the credit card number in place.
Google Offers perfectly complements Google Wallet. If you came across some interesting offer, you could save it to Google Walletand show the same to a cashier to get it redeemed. All you will need to do is just make a few clicks on your phone.
Both these Google ‘gifts’ are perfect ‘presents’ for the tech savvy women who can now shop smartly and with convenience. All women are surely waiting with bated breath for the summer to come.
