LEGO spurs the excitement at the New York Toy Fair 2013 with their latest legion of toys. This year, LEGO has hit the bull’s eye with their new set of toys which are built around kids’ favorite Hollywood blockbuster movies including Lord of the Rings, Lone Rangers, and The Hobbit among others. This year, LEGO has launched several games and toys in swanky Toy Fair 2013 including the biggest showstopper, Lego Chima.
Here is a roundup of LEGO sets introduced at the Toy Fair 2013:
LEGO Chima line
LEGO Chima line comprises an array of animal character such as Crocs, Wolves, Lions, Birds, Gorillas, Foxes, Skunks in a story wherein the good takes over the evil. The story also unveils the bonding of friendship and family relations. LEGO has partnered with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment to launch video games in a series of three by the name of Legends of Chima in 2013. LEGO has revealed its plans to debut vehicles, television content, new games under its Chima line. The Lego Legends of Chima: Speedorz is already available from the iTunes App Store and the official website Lego.com.
LEGO Galaxy Squad line
LEGO Galaxy Squad Bug Battle line is a shooting game wherein bugs invade planets and detain human. The player take the lead and guide other playmates to combat bugs and stop them from taking detainees. There are different levels players will play, modify various types of ships available in order to rescue captives. The more captives a player releases, the higher they score and gradually, they can unlock other levels.
LEGO the Duplo line
LEGO has also released games and attractions for toddlers, such as the LEGO Duplo line. The Duplo line includes numbered blocks, cars at the gas station, a construction site, a zoo bus and many more to keep your two-year old to keep engaged for hours in building the Number Train.
LEGO Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit
For your little geeks, LEGO has unveiled two video games that are Lego The Lord of the Rings and LEGO Hobbit Sets – An Unexpected Journey. Lego The Lord of the Rings is a multi-platform action games which are already available on PlayStation Vita, Microsoft Xbox 360 and Windows, Wii, Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo DS, Sony PlayStation 3. The Mac OS X version will tipped for release on February 21st, 2013.
LEGO The Hobbit Sets are built as the sub-theme of Lego The Lord of the Rings sets. LEGO has released a LEGO The Hobbit video game and a board game.
Other games and toys showcased by LEGO at the Toy Fair 2013 were Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles LEGO, Super Heroes LEGOs, LEGO Minifigures Series 9 and LEGO Mindstorms.
