How many times have you been puzzled by the posts and comments on Google+, because you don’t understand the language? With an international user base, the posts and comments in various languages is definitely increasing. There are innumerable languages all over the world and it’s impossible for us to know each one of them. However, this does not deter us from having the urge to know what is really posted and commented on Google+.
To address this issue, Google has released Google Translate for Google+, a simple browser extension for Google Chrome that translates posts and comments into more than 50 languages. The list includes languages such as Indonesian, German, English, French, Vietnamese, Italian and Romanian.
The extension is a simple, easy to use interface on the current Google+ platform. As a user will hover his mouse over a post or a comment, a small ’Translate’ button will pop up. It will further ask for a particular language in which the user wants to get a post translated to. When clicked on the option, the translator will translate the post or comment for the user instantly.
This feature is not inbuilt to Google+. It is added as a Google Chrome extension; which is of course a good idea because it leaves the user with a choice of either to get it implemented or not.
For all those users who had sleepless nights over a post or a comment written in a foreign language, you have Google translate for Google+, to take your nightmares away. If you have a friend who doesn’t understand your language, with this simple browser you can still chat all the way out. From now on, all you need is the courage and will to be friends with people of diverse groups and languages, because with Google translate for Google +, language is no more a barrier.
