This year, shoppers will observe Black Friday on November 23. The day which is supposedly one day, the day after Thanksgiving, when holiday shoppers queue at stores and shops to buy products on great bargains and lucrative discounts offers. Earlier Black Friday has been a one-day shopping deal affair when shoppers used to head to malls and stores to snag best deals on tech gadgets and other items. But, with holiday shoppers started with their shopping activities one week before Thanksgiving. And for some recent years, shoppers are even found to start Black Friday shopping one month before. That’s not even true, because a report published by RetailMeNot.com last month on the pattern of Black Friday sales stated that about 40% consumers begin shopping for holiday gifts way before Halloween. Considering this latest trend of holiday shopping, RetailMeNot.com has termed the holiday season shopping as “OctoNovemCember”. Black Friday is not considered the biggest shopping festival for people line up for the biggest amount of in-store purchase on Saturday before Christmas and online sale on Cyber Monday (the Monday after Thanksgiving holiday). But not only the shoppers, retailers of brick-and-mortar and online stores start posting ads on great deals and bargains month before actual Black Friday.

Black Friday Deals from Major Retailers  

Major retailers started showcasing Black Friday deals on every weekend from the starting of November. While Newegg.com has commenced its Black Friday deals by the name of ‘Black November’, Amazon Thursday has launched a store dedicated to Black Friday shopping spree called ‘Black Friday store’ featuring deals which will continue to Thanksgiving shopping fest. Likewise, Walmart has announced ‘ultimate online specials’ for Black Friday shoppers. While Walmart focuses more on tech products, Amazon has offered more deals on non-tech products.
