Is “Thank You for Retweet-ing Me” Oh, Ah, Ouch or Perhaps…Wow?

Bon Jovi had won millions of hearts with his balladic thank you (don’t you love to listen and sing aloud “Thank you for loving me”?). Especially the way he has voiced the beauty of ‘five words’ to reciprocate the feeling of being loved by someone. Yes, I know being a woman I seem to be a bit carried away by the mention of love. Though I am a great believer in love, I might react differently toward Tweeple who show ‘love’ by sending Retweet Thank-You’s.

I don’t expect an acknowledgement for my every retweet since I don’t want to fill up my Twitter account with the flood of “Thank You for Retweet-ing Me” posts. Although, if they would do show their gesture of thanking without saying ‘Thank you’, I would have definitely loved to reciprocate, view their profile, read their posts and show my interests. If you are consistent in “Thank you for RT-ing me”, you may push your followers away no matter whether you think your retweet acknowledgement a courteous Twitter etiquette.

Communicate your appreciation on Twitter in the following manner

Show Your Thanks without a ‘Thank you’
____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

You do not necessarily need to utter those five words “Thank You for Retweet-ing Me”, follow those users instead if they are following-worthy. If the user appears to be resourceful and depict cherishing one-liners, I would like to add the user in a respective list to extract information whenever I want.

Acknowledge a user’s efforts to post retweet by RT-ing the best Tweets that you found on his/her profile.

Start off a conversation by replying to the RT and spread the message mentioning Twitter users who would be interested in the retweet. Refrain from public stream of thanks by sending Direct Messages (DM) to the users.

Following Retweet Thanks are Unnecessary & Strictly Avoidable
____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Conserve your energy for Tweeting instead of replying to the Retweets from ‘bot’ users as there are no scopes for building any kind of bonding. Also, avoid those retweets came from MLM tweeple who tend to pull in their large crew of MLM friends to start following you and may exasperate you with flooding of promotional posts to your account.

Remember, we want to connect, bond and strengthen the relationship with our friends and people through Twitter, not to push them away. Initiating conversation and establishing loyalty is the key to attract following and followers on Twitter, overstating your attention toward them will compel people to disassociate you.

Wow. Good thing I have heard of this. I was guilty of “thank you” tweets before. Maybe I do the tips mentioned here.
