- Then, Re-type the new password into the Confirm Password text box.

Once you have successfully changed your Facebook account password, write a status update alerting your friends that you clicked on a bad link and had a Facebook virus in your Facebook account.
Also alert your friends not to click on any link that appears to be from your profile and if you know some specific friends who had received a viral link from you, then go to their Facebook Wall and delete those links.

- The ‘Apps You Use’ page opens up listing all apps that you had allowed to have access to your account.
- Just go through the list and make sure that you know each and every app.
- If you want to remove any app from this list, just click the ‘Edit Settings’ button next to the app.
- And click on ‘Remove App’ link.

Make sure that the link you click is authenticated or just hover your mouse over the link and see the URL in the left corner of the browser.
