Zynga has partnered with the Google+ and now the both of them are looking forward to yield growth in their respective arenas by bringing CityVille to Google+. And when we are talking about individual growth of Zynga and Google+, Facebook has a great part to the story.
Zynga’s CityVille is one of the most popular social games on the Facebook by drawing a whopping number of unique players that mount up to 70 million every month. And after skyrocketing success at the Facebook, Zynga is now planning to replicate the same at the Google+ so that it can mitigate its sole dependence on the Facebook for revenue generation. Zynga has to share its 30 percent of its revenues with Facebook as the social networking behemoth lends its rapid growth of users to Zynga. And, there is no question about popularity of Facebook and rampant expansion of its user base that is currently reported as 800 million.
Compared to Facebook’s user base, Google+ is still at its teething stage when Google Plus has accumulated 50 million users approx. Google+ also aspires to catch up with the standing of Facebook and one of the best grounds to work upon that is the game department. Google+ has already started to popularize its game section with eleven games in August, 2011 and Zynga Poker is one of the best amongst those. The social network is already reaping the fruits of Zynga Poker.
And now Zynga and Google+ has announced to roll out CityVille at the Google+ in order to monetize the popularity of the game. Google has been known to invest over $100 million in Zynga and has also offers better terms and proposition to the company than Zynga’s payment of 30% of its revenue to the Facebook. Zynga, who reportedly has a love-and-hate relationship with Facebook, is looking forward to explore diverse locations to launch its games so that diversification will give more opportunities for growth and dependence on one platform.
