The 5.1 inch Quad HD Super AMOLEDÂ screen includes the maximum pixel density of 577ppi. In addition, these smartphones also include enhanced outdoor visibility with a vivid display of 600cd/mm. This feature will allow users to enjoy the content without any hassle during any time of the day and at all places.
Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge have thin edges of 6.8mm and 7.0 mm respectively. These lightweight phones weight just 138g (S6) and 132g (Edge). These phones run on Android 5.0 Lollipop version.
Samsung has brought in the worldâ€™s first 14mm mobile processor with 64-bit octa-core chip, new LPDDR4 memory system and UFS 2.0 flash memory that offers better performance and enhanced memory, speed and consumes less power. The increased default internal storage is available in 32GB, 64GB and 128GB models.Â In addition, these phones are also the worldâ€™s first 1440P/VP9 hardware based codes, which allows users to enjoy high resolution video streaming.
Another twist which Samsung has brought with its latest mobile phones is that the S6 phones are completely sealed. This means that now the users wonâ€™t be able to swap out the battery. Moreover, the batteries included in the handsets are potentially larger and will last longer as well.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge includes enhanced camera that offers superior picture quality. The front camera offers resolution of 5MP and the rear camera offers 16MP quality. In the Mobile World Congress 2015, Samsung also announced â€˜Samsung Payâ€™. Samsung Pay is the latest mobile payment service that will be compatible with more locations than the number offered by any other competitor, in a single application. Samsung Pay will be launched on Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge in the United States in the second half of this year.
Secured by Samsung KNOX, fingerprint scanning and advanced tokenization, Samsung Pay works well with Near Field Communication (NFC) and with Magnetic Secure Transaction (MST) technology.
Super Charging & Wireless Charging
Both the smartphones will offer lightening fast charging feature that is available with Exynos chip. With this feature, users can charge 30% battery in just about 30 minutes.
Furthermore, Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge also include built-in wireless charging by using WPC and PMA standards, which includes QI. Though, Samsung will be selling its own charging pads, the S6 phones will also be compatible with other chargers as well. This will provide users flexibility and ease of use.
A bigger screen, an enhanced camera, appealing looks and vibrant colors seem to be attracting large number of mobile users. The tech specs appear promising too and going by the success of the Android-Samsung combination, these two smartphones already appear to be â€˜big hitâ€™ among fans.
Though, both the phones appear to be the smartest phones launched by Samsung yet, the drawback is that they are not waterproof! This might be a disappointment among users.
