Display and Design
HTC’s expertise in the area of adopting metallic framework has already won the brand several awards. This was with the One M8, the predecessor of One M9. In the successor too, metallic framework has been extensively used, which lends the M9 smartphone a slick luxury feel.
It has a 5 inch screen with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection, having a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. The Power button is located below the two volume keys on the right hand side along with the microSD slot. The HTC One M9 has a dimension of 144.6 x 69.7 x 9.6 mm and weighs about 157 g.
Software and Hardware
The HTC One M9 uses Qualcomm’s 810 Snapdragon processor and runs on Android Lollipop-based operating system with HTC’s Sense 7 technology. This technology makes the icons on the home screen look clearer and even the drop down settings have been improved.
The One M9 has 3 GB RAM with 32 GB internal memory. The external memory is expandable up to 128 GB.
Camera and Battery
The new HTC One M9 has a battery of 2840mAh. This clearly hints that it has a significant battery life and can support longer video streaming activities and music plays. The battery can support up to 25 hours of talk time on a single charge. Wow, this is indeed a treat for all users who have a little more to talk about!
The front camera of the One M9 smartphone has 20 megapixels with autofocus and dual-LED flash. The camera also features automatic simultaneous image and video recording, geo tagging, face and smile detection, HDR and panorama mode. The secondary camera is of 4 megapixels.
