“Mommy, I am on TV!” – Easy Steps to View Your Photos on TV

And, the best thing about watching photos on TV is very similar to watching videos and easy too. You can drag your photos from your camera on TV in many ways, depending upon the connectivity or syncing options available with your TV and your digital camera. We have shown four simplest methods your can import your photos from camera to TV and see them on big-screen.

Insert memory card into TV’s card reader

First of all, you can make use of memory card of your camera. The memory card stores photos you clicked with your digital camera can be inserted on TV’s SD card reader. Most of the LED and LCD panels feature card reader option. You just need to remove the memory card from your digital camera and place it inside your TV’s SD card reader. If you are doubtful about if your flat TV has a card reader or not, check out the TV user manual or the technician for details.

USB cable

If your TV does not have a memory card reader or if the reader is not functioning well, use the USB cable instead. Your camera must come with an USB cable, now take that USB cable for connecting one end to the camera and other end to the USB port of your TV. Connecting through USB cable also reduces risks of losing all your photos with the memory card if misplaced or lost while transferring from camera and TV. Flat panel TVs manufactured over a last few years are equipped with a USB port.

Transfer from your computer

If you have stored all the photos and videos on the hard disk drive of your computer, then again you need to use your USB flash drive. Just copy those files on a USB drive and put the drive into the USB port of your TV.

TV with Internet apps

With the advent of Internet TV (e.g. Google TV), you can get to surf Internet and use apps on your TV when you are not surfing TV channels. Flat TV with Internet apps enable you access your images stored on any photo sharing website such as Flickr or Picasa. For this, first press the ‘Internet app’ button which is on the remote control. Each TV manufacturer gives a unique name for apps service, make sure you know it, such as for Panasonic TV, it is ‘VIERA Cast’. Next, select the particular photo sharing app that you are using, e.g. Picasa on Panasonic. Once you have logged on, you can access Internet apps and view your photos from the web, directly on your TV. Thus, you can view with your friends and once they like, you can share those photos with them instantly using Internet apps.
