Women nurture greater penchant for sharing and now they have taken their sharing activities to the digital media – the burgeoning social media space. And fascinatingly, their sharing activities are not limited to their family, friends or associates; rather they have taken it to further serious enterprising levels.
Women are using social media for promoting causes, hosting and giving speeches in social media events and campaigns as well. They are pioneering social media and blogging activities for many organizations. Some even freelance or double their roles as social media consultants (for profit and non-profit organizations) as a second career. Many of them are imparting knowledge on technology, are leading speakers at webinars and social media events and are developing strategies in digital marketing. They have also been touted as the powerhouse of resources in social media. Hence, I wanted to highlight these women’s extensive experience and contribution to social media networks as to share with and inspire my readers of Mizwhiz.
