These phenomenal women have helped the tech world achieve bigger goals and perform better. Let’s have a look at these super brainy women –

Sheryl Sandberg 

Sheryl Sandberg is a well-known American Technology activist. She is a pass out of Harvard Business School. Sheryl Sandberg is the first women to become the part of Board of Directors of the giant social media flagship, Facebook. Sherly Sandberg stepped in Facebook as the Chief Operating Officer in the year 2012. In March 2013, she released a book called “Lean In” that was all about encouraging women to achieve their professional aspirations by leaning into their ambition. The book was top listed in the bestseller book list.

Virginia Rometty

She is an American business executive and a pass out of Northwestern University. She began her career in IBM as a system engineer in 1981. Presently, she is the Chairwomen and CEO of IBM. She has also gained the recognition to be the first ever women to head the company. She is known for her excellent business insights, leadership qualities and for leading by example.

Susan Wojcicki

Susan Wojcicki is a famed educator of Russian-Jewish descent. Her alma mater includes Havard College, University of California and UCLA Anderson School of Management. In the initial days of her career she worked for a couple of companies including Google, Intel, Bain & Company and R.B.Webber & Company. Presently, Susan Wojcicki is heading world’s largest video platform – YouTube as a CEO.

Marissa Mayer

Merissa Mayer is an enthusiastic American executive. After completing her college from Stanford University in B.S and M.S, she began her career with Google as employee number 20 and was the first female engineer in the organization. After spending 13 years with Google, she headed to become the CEO of Yahoo! in the year 2012. Merissa Mayer is known as Silicon Valley’s ‘Spender-in-Chief’ for her splendid achievements in a young age.

Meg Whitman

Mig Whitman a leading American businesswoman is a graduate of Princeton University and Harvard Business School. She started her career in 1979 with P&G, Ohio. Thereafter she worked with Bain & Company in San Francisco and then moved ahead to join The Walt Disney Company as a Vice President for strategic planning. She later became the President and CEO of Florists Transworld Delivery and then joined eBay as a CEO. Presently, Mig Whitman leads the world’s second-largest tech company, Helwett-Packard (HP) as its President and CEO. She has also extended her horizons by trying her fate in politics.

Ursula Burns

Ursula M. Burns graduated from New York University and Columbia University. She joined Xerox as a summer intern in 1980 and became a permanent employee of the company a year later. In taking up her career flight, she worked in multiple positions in product development and planning. Currently, Ursula Burns is the Chairwomen and CEO of Xerox. She is known to be the first ever African-American women CEO for leading a Forture 500 company.

Safra Catz

Safra Ada Catz is an Israeli born American businesswoman, she graduated from University of Pennsylvania and Harvard Law School. She began her career as a banker and continued to pursue the same career for the next 20 years of her career. In the year 1999, she joined Oracle and soon she was promoted to be a member of the Board. Since 2011, Safra Catz is working as the Co-President and the CFO of Oracle Corporation.

Renee James

Renee James is an American businesswoman, she graduated from University of Oregon. Renee has gained acknowledgement and appreciation for her vast knowledge about the computing industry, spanning hardware, manufacturing, security, software and services. Renee ideology has targeted the growing markets of wearable technology, gaming etc, that has let Intel Corporation’s growth as a gigantic corporation. Presently, Renee James is the President of Intel Corporation and is an integral part of Intel’s two-person executive team.

Amy Hood

Amy Hood is an American businesswoman. She has graduated in Economics from Duke University and holds a MBA degree from Harvard University. Amy Hood joined Microsoft in the year 2002 and has worked in the organization leading various roles successfully. In the year 2013, Amy Hood was announced companies Chief Financial Officer (CFO). She has been acknowledged for becoming the first female CFO of Microsoft Corporation.

Angela Ahrendts

Angela Ahrendts is an American businesswoman. She received her undergraduate degree in Merchandising and Marketing from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. She has also received an honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters from Ball State. Angela Ahrendts was the former Burberry CEO; she has been credited for turning around the ailing fashion house. Presently, she is the Senior Vice President of the Retail and Online Stores, Apple Inc.

These multi-talented women have once again proven the power of being a woman, by successfully balancing and achieving goals in their personal as well as professional lives. These amazing super women have also been listed as the most successful and powerful women in tech world 2014 by Forbes magazine.
