This bargain kid-focused tablet is affordable and set with numerous features to keep your little one happily engaged
It seems like Motorola can feel the flames let out by the heat of the ‘Fire’ by Amazon. After Amazon allured the tablet buyers segment with an economical Amazon Kindle Fire, Motorola has announced a child-friendly or family-friendly version of its original Motorola Zoom tablet from BestBuy with a price cut from the original zoom version. The lower price tag of the same is $379, a dent from the price tag of the original Motorola Zoom version by $120. However, by paying $120 less, you will have to compromise on the onboard memory space; while the original version flaunts a 32GB, the family edition is limited with a 16GB onboard memory.
With this family edition of Zoom, Motorola aims to cater to larger group of tablet users who span from kids to elders. While it has been designed for kids, the tablet also apparently aims to tap the parents who want to put strict vigil on their kids from accessing inappropriate content online. Parents having a tough time handling kids’ from fiddling around with their tablets will find an inexpensive alternative or solution in the Motorola Xoom Family Edition. The Android Honeycomb powered tablet features various kid-friendly features including a wider screen of 10” that displays content without straining the kids’ eyes, a gamut of games, videos, shows, and pre-loaded apps for kids that are worth $40.
The tablet has hit the shelves of BestBuy since Sunday, October 16, 2011 onward. However, Motorola has announced that the Motorola Xoom Family Edition is a “limited-time value price” product owing to which the price is likely to rise from the current reduced rate. So you may rush to grab the tab for your kids today.
