An iPhone® FBI App to Help Parents Whose Child Has Gone Missing

And as the name suggests, the app will help parents to keep their child’s most updated information on their fingertips in order to have the information handy when they begin to search for their missing kids. Now, let us see how the Child ID iPhone app from FBI works and aids in finding missing children.

Child ID iPhone app is free and highly functional

This FBI Child ID is available for free download from the iTunes App Store to make it available to maximum people and to offer them convenient options and tips to find missing children. There is a tab called ‘Safety Tips’ that guides parents with expert tips from FBI on keeping children safe. The app consists of four tabs to assist hapless parents that are ‘Home’, ‘Emergency’, ‘Safety Tips’, and ‘Checklists’.

The ‘Home’ tab of the FBI Child ID app will show you vital information of children that you had previously stored. All the information and identifiers you need to produce to officers to start finding your child will be accessible to you at one touch. Hence, you do not need to scour shelves, closets, albums or other storage places to search for necessary information on identification marks, height, weight, complexion, age and photos of the child. The app also allows users to e-mail such information to any authority from the app itself, with just a few taps. You can create multiple profiles of your kid. You can click photos with your iPhone and update them plus the related information on each child of yours from time to time.

In addition to finding tips, vital information, and sending mails from the FBI Child ID app, the app comprises buttons ‘Call 911’ and ‘Call NCMEC’ (National Center for Missing and Exploited Children) that are to be found from the ‘Emergency’ tab. Last but not the least, the ‘Checklists’ button guides hapless parents with what to do in ‘The First 24 Hours’ and ‘The Second 24 Hours’. You will be guided with tips to make utmost use of the app with ‘FBI Child ID Use’ button and get some ‘Helpful Links and Resources’ to know the best possible channels to go to find your missing child.

God forbid that you may have to face such a nightmarish situation ever. However, with this FBI Child ID iPhone app, you will be more prepared with resources and information to follow up and find clues of your missing child. You may pass on this information to your close ones who may be in a similar situation or who you want to alert on the app.

    This is great when we panic. All the information will be at our fingertips to expedite on the search of the lost child. Its a reminder to all to have all important information available at out fingertips when emergency arises.
