Well, the popular pizza delivery brand recently launched a voice ordering feature in its iPhone and Android apps powered by Nuance’s Nina, which has voice speech recognition, speech synthesis and natural language understanding technology to place an order quickly. With the help of this app a customer can simply speak an order and quickly add items to their cart.
This is the most convenient and quick mode of ordering Pizza that includes a human-like, conversational customer service experience where users can place an order quickly without creating any confusion for the person taking it. Patrick Doyle, Domino’s Pizza president and CEO, said in an interview, “We want to benefit our customers by giving them advance technology experience. Our mobile app can definitely help users in communicating well with the Domino’s staff who takes orders for them.”
He also added that this is something very new both for traditional and e-commerce retail like Domino’s Pizza and puts the brand at the forefront of an intuitive ordering method. The updated app opens several options for the users, for example customer will be able to browse menus, coupons, and navigate through the app using their voice and can give order at their own comfort.
The voice ordering feature powered by Nuance’s Nina Mobile is available in the updated Domino’s Pizza app for iOS now.
